Children’s Ministries

Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God.
Mark 10:13-15

Youth Sunday – Third Sunday of each month

An opportunity for our children to actively take part during worship service with our Sunbeam Choir and Junior Ushers.

In addition, on this Sunday we hold Youth Church.  Midway through worship service children are dismissed from worship service to participate in Youth Church which is divided into three age groups.

Group #1 – Ages 3-7
Group #2 – Ages 8-12
Group #3 – Ages 13-17

Wednesday Nights – 5:30 – 7 p.m.

We open our doors to all youth to gather together and be fed spiritually and physically.  We begin with devotion in the Fellowship Hall. Following devotion, children are divided by age into their perspective bible study classes; Word in the lesson of the week.  Dinner is served directly after bible study.

Wednesday night bible study gives Saint Matthew youth and youth in the surrounding areas the opportunity to have fun and godly fellowship while receiving the Word.

Our classrooms serve as judgement free zones where questions are encouraged as God’s Word is broken down for understanding.

We welcome YOU to join us each Wednesday night!

Youth Day – Second Sunday in June

Sunday School – Each Sunday 9:30 a.m.

Sunday School is an intricate part of the operation of the Baptist Church.  Our Sunday School is based on a small group operation where age-related classes are assembled for the study of the word of God.

Class #1

Senior Adult Men (age 56 and over)

Class #5

Intermediate 1 (age 19 – 25)

Class #2

Senior Adult Women (age 65 and over)

Class #8

Intermediate 1 (age 12 – 18)

Class #3

Adult Women (age 54 – 64)

Class #9

Primary and Kindergarten (age 5 – 11)

Class #4

Young Adult Women (age 26 – 53)

Class #10

Young Adult Men (age 26 – 55)

Sunday School is a place of ecclesiastical training.   It is also a place where relationships are formed, where ministries are discovered, and where spiritual maturity takes place.

In II Timothy 2:15 Paul said to Timothy, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”  We learn to divide the word of truth in Sunday School.

We have a great Sunday School, awesome teachers, and magnificent students…all we need now is you!

Usher Ministry

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.  I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.  Psalms 84:10

Our mission is to: Greet and welcome everyone who enters into the doors of the house of the LORD with a warm smile and a kind heart.

Assist with the order of service with integrity, cordiality, and wisdom.
Ensure each worshiper has what they need to feel comfortable and have a great worshiping experience.

Usher Board #1 – Serves on the 2nd and 4th Sundays
Usher Board #2 – Serves on the 1st Sunday
Junior Ushers – Serves on the 3rd Sunday

The heart of an usher is the heart of a servant, and they do their work for their LORD.

Women’s Ministries

We welcome all to the table as Christ has welcomed us. We are sharing a loving Christian fellowship with women of the church.

Women’s Ministry – First Tuesday of each Month

Our ministry meets to: Pray (for one another and for lost souls to be saved)

Speak (about God’s goodness and mercy)
Plan (feeding the hungry)
Sing (songs of praises)
Learn (by studying God’s Word)

When one sees the women of one’s own church doing these things she cries out, “Lord, use even me.”

Missionary Society – First Monday of each Month

Women’s Conference – Fourth Saturday in August
